I filed an extension through turbotax and paid $1000 before hand. while filing taxes I again owed $609 which I paid. how do I know my 1000 was considered or not ? pls hlp

When you requested your extension you were supposed to pay your estimated tax due. Did you enter the payment you made into your tax return? Go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Estimates and Other Taxes Paid>Other Income Taxes

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t enter anything manually but i do see the $1000 in the additional/other payments made.
