I filed an extension using the desktop version of Turbo Tax, but I want to upgrade to have expert help. How do I do that?

If I upgrade, does all the information I already wrote in my desktop version of TT get imported to an online version? I obviously don't want to start completely from scratch if I can avoid it. I just got stuck with some questions and need advice.

contact support first. Generally, you can upload a tax file to your desktop but for security reason you cannot download it to an online account. But asks support since you'll be using live help.

Sorry----you cannot switch from the CD/download to the online "Live" version. There is no "Live" tax expert help available with desktop software, nor can you transfer an already started desktop return into the online software for the same tax year. If you want to use online "Live" software you will be starting over.

Or if you want to stick with the desktop software in which you have already begun, you may ask questions here in the user forum.
