I filed married filing separate last year and my husband moved out in April 2016 I have 2 kids and want to claim head of household ....will this cause a red flag to irs

    No, that should not raise a red flag.  It is quite common.  If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your filing status (single or married filing separately) into Personal Info, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status
