I FILED MY FEDERAL TAXES EFILE AND SUBMITTED THEM. THEY WERE ACCEPTED, BUT I DID NOT FILE MY STATE TAXES. I MADE THE CHANGES TO MY FEDERAL, BUT STILL SHOWING OTHER AMOUNT

Once your taxes have been accepted, any changes you make do not actually update on your tax return.  That is why you are still seeing the other amount.  You cannot make changes to a tax return that has already been accepted.  

 

You have to file a new tax return called an amended return on Form 1040X.  This form will not be ready until sometime in mid-February.

I filed my amended return a month ago and it is not showing on the IRS where my amendment tracking option.

Amended returns can only be mailed.  Did you print and mail it?  BUT They are not processing mailed returns right now. The mail is stacking up in trailers at the IRS.
