I filed my taxes a month ago but just got a email saying I have to show my w-2 and it won’t load my taxes to show where I need to send my w-2

For sure the IRS would not send an email, and it's quite likely the state would not send an email requesting your W-2. Contact the appropriate agency (IRS or State) to confirm any request.
