I filed my taxes and it’s now a new tax credit that I won’t get why didn’t y’all stop me from filing my taxes

The irs accepted my federal knowing the child tax credit was going up now I won’t receive it I need that how can I get it

The revised child tax credit is only proposed in congress. It is not in effect and is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

If it does pass and applies to 2023, the additional refund ($200 per child) is apt to be automatic.
