Solved

I filed our taxes with my spouse and I listed in reverse order from previous years; it has been rejected. Is there anything I can do short of redoing the entire form?

Your Tax Return will not reject if you changed the order you and your Spouse are listed on the return.  As long as the last names and social security numbers match Social Security records, the IRS does not care if you are first and your husband second, or vice versa.

I would recommend verifying that the last name and social security number for you and your spouse are listed exactly as they appear on your social security cards.  If one of you has two last names or two middle names that could be causing the issue.  If there are two last names, use the "first" last name.  If there are two middle names, use the "second" middle name as the last name (then leave a space and include the last name).  Also be sure to include any suffix to the last name like Jr, Sr, III, etc.

Also, read your Reject Code carefully and follow any instructions included.
