I filed single in my w-2 but I'm married can I file under single?

    No you have to file your tax return as Married.  What you claim at work on the W4 doesn’t have to match your actual tax return.  That’s just to tell your employer how much withholding to take out.  It doesn’t go to the IRS.   Your W2 you get at the end of the year only reports the total withholding.   I’m married but claim Single at work to have more withholding taken out.
