With the online program, you can't "Downgrade", you have to "Clear and start over". 

You would have had to agree to the $119 charge before that charge would have been collected. 

A W2 would not generate a Self-Employed program, make sure you did not enter a 1099-MISC.

You can ask for a refund from Turbo Tax, not sure if it will be fully refunded but go tho their help section and search for refund.

Good luck. They either hide their free option so well you can’t find it, or it doesn’t exist on their app. This is my last year using this bs service. Turbo tax is a scam. And you can kiss your money goodbye. All I have is a W2 and they’re charging me $129 for a service I didn’t need or use. A freaking joke is what they are.
