Question

I finished and submitted my return electronically. Why don't I have an acceptance letter?

You can check on the efile status of your return in TurboTax.  

 

Sign in to TurboTax to check your current status. You'll find it in Tax Home after sign in.

If you used TurboTax CD/Download you can check your e-file status by opening the File menu and selecting Check E-filing status or by opening your return, selecting the File tab, and selecting the Check E-file Status header.

 

It will take usually 1-3 days for your return to be accepted or rejected by IRS and/or your state.

 

Once your file is accepted you can check on the status with this link:  Where's my Refund?
