I want to get this done . . . I have been trying since the end of March and just worked with IRS, answered all their questions and got my #  HELP Please!

This is the only thing I need to get my State and Federal returns to e-file.

The IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) is a 6-digit PIN provided by the IRS to certain victims of ID theft.  I'll show you 2 methods below to get to the entry screen.

Here's how to navigate to enter the IP PIN into TurboTax:

  • Log in and open your return ("Take me to my return.")
  • Once the return is open click in the top right corner on SEARCH.
  • Enter IP PIN without quotes.
  • Choose Jump to IP PIN.

Or here's an alternate navigation:

  • Federal Taxes tab.
  • Subtab Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Other Return Info.
  • Choose Identity Protection PIN and Start (or Revisit.)
