Question

I had a major software glitch with the charitable contributions page. Does anyone know how to get a message to tech support to tell them they have a serious bug?

When I went to update one of my donations, all of the amounts were incorrectly shifted and almost all of the amounts were in the incorrect charities.  I had to manually redo them. I found another issue with my state refund from last year, and the amount shown was double the amount I entered.

I had the same glitch today 2/20/2021 -- even my and my husband's w-2 were switched.  Seems like it has imported info from 2019 into 2020.

I tried to call the toll free customer support number but wait time was an hour.  I am concerned that someone else's taxes will be messed up.  Hoping that tech support reads these.

I had asked the same thing this morning (before I saw your question)... charities I delete from  2019 showed back up on my list for 2020 and the amounts were changed... Imagine items given an animal shelter to "care for kittens" showing up in the place of money given to the Church!!

My question was answered and apparently, they know about the problem and are working on it...  You can see the full  answer under my question titled "Software Glitch for Charitable deductions"

from TurboTax:  Yes. There is an issue with the contributions deduction and TurboTax is working to fix it.  We do not have an estimated date of correction, at this time.  I suggest you check back often to see if the correction has been made.
