Solved

I had a protection order against my wife on Dec 31st. I have 100 percent custody of our son. I can not talk to her or get info from her. I want to find separately and claim my son. How do I do that

You can not include your spouse's social security number on the return but you won't be allowed to e-file. Instead, you'll need to print your tax return and paper-file it. You'll also need to attach a written statement that explains you don't have your spouse's social security number. Include her name, last known address, date of birth, and phone number, so the IRS can match her records with yours.
