Question

I had an HSA with my old health insurance, which I had contributed to, but that was not active for 2019. Will I need info from there for my 2019 taxes?

"I had an HSA with my old health insurance, which I had contributed to, but that was not active for 2019"

If you (or anyone, like your employer) contributed to your HSA in 2019, then your HSA was "active".

The IRS says that you have to add form 8889 to your tax return if you either contributed to or took distributions from your HSA during the tax year.

So, the answer is "yes", you will need to go through the HSA interview in TurboTax. Do a Search for hsa and click on the jump-to link. Be sure to go all the way through the interview.
