You can view your form 1040, federal income tax return, by following these steps:

1. Find the "Tax Tools" option on your left menu bar and click on it

2. Click on "Tools"

3. Click on "View Tax Summary"

4. On your left menu bar find the "Preview my 1040" option and click on it

Your earned income would normally show on lines 1 (wages) or line 3 on schedule 1 (business income). It could also be on line 5 of schedule 1 if you had self-employment income reported on a schedule k-1 from a partnership.

I do not have a w2 or any paperwork stating where this money came from. How can I find out?

If the instructions from ThomasM125 does not help, you may try the way below.

If you have already paid, before file, you can print out all the tax forms to locate the amount by following these steps:

  • To your left, select File
  • Follow prompts to print

Would you like to have somebody to look over your return?

If so, I would suggest you consider TurboTaxLive to file your 2019 taxes.  This way you could have one of our tax professionals to review your tax forms.

To reach one of our tax professionals, in the TurboTax program, once you complete your taxes, before you file, you’ll be given the option for a final review of your return by one of our experts.  After they completed reviewing your return, they’ll inform you of any proposed changes.

Here are the instructions:
