I have 1099-r and i put my total wages on line 1 instead of line 5 turbo tax didnt catch it i filed irs still reviewing it since 4/21 tax advocate told me i did it wrong

1099-r entered on wrong line

If the 1099-R has distribution code 3 in box 7, and you are below the minimum retirement age for the pension plan, then the income is supposed to go on Form 1040 line 1, not line 5. TurboTax asked you what the minimum retirement age is.

Or did you enter it as a W2 and not in the 1099R spot?
