Add your dependent to your income tax return so the IRS knows he is your dependent. Dependents aged 17 or older were not eligible for the first and second stimulus payments so you will not get those, but you will get the third stimulus. Unlike EIP1 and EIP2, families will get a payment for all their dependents claimed on a tax return, not just their qualifying children under 17.
