I have a INN number for my son but it says invalid, does anybody know why?

Have you entered your son's Individual Taxpayer Identification Number ITIN correctly?

Also is it possible that your son now has a Social Security Number SSN? If he does use the SSN, not the ITIN when you file your tax return.
