    If you received a W-2 that did not have your SSN, you could ask your employer for a Corrected W-2, if you got your SSN by 12/31/2021. 

     

    If your employer does not give you a Corrected W-2, 

    • The IRS will send your employer a letter requesting that they furnish you a corrected Form W-2 within ten days.
