I have the software Turbotax Deluxe Tax Year 2020. Can the 2022 taxes be done with this software?

I wouldn't advise it. There have been a number of changes since 2020, including deduction limits. You would likely result in having inaccurate information on your return.

NO!!!!!!! Each tax year has its own software that is written for the tax laws in effect for the specific tax year, and which includes the forms for that tax year. You cannot update 2020 software to prepare a 2022 tax return. You need 2022 software.

When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return. You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return. The state e-file fee is $20 and increases to $25 in March.
