I have completed 2024 return. Unfortunately my desktop died. I've managed to salvage most of hard drive and transfer to new desktop. Trying to retrieve online backup?

Sorry--if you used desktop download software, there is no "online backup"----the tax return was stored on your own hard drive. It is not stored online. If you are using the desktop download, you will need to download the software to the new computer and --sadly--start over.
