Question

I have federal taxes taken out of my unemployment. Now Congress has said unemployment is non taxable. Can I get fed taxes back while having untaxable unemployment?

I have not filed my federal taxes yet. Should I file now--then amend the return later? Or will there be an option on turbo tax before tax deadline?

not to worry, you will still get credit for the federal taxes taken out.

Okay....that brings up the next question. Is there going to be a button or something that takes the amount of unemployment out of the taxable category which would lower my income---and then in theory a bigger refund? Or am I going to have to file an amended return later in the year for that?
