Question

I have In-Laws stayed in 2020 more than 6 months on Visitors Visa and wanted to see if I can file them as dependents on my tax return.

if they are not US citizens, resident aliens, or a national or resident of Canada or Mexico the answer is no.

to claim either you must have provided over 50% of that in-law's support otherwise no.

if either had gross income of $4300 or more in 2020 you can't claim that in-law.

if you qualify to claim either  they also need an SSN or ITIN

if for some reason they filed a joint US income tax return you can not claim them
