I have logged into my account. can not find the link to file an extension. No drop down menu, nothing in the column either. why won't my account take me to "file

Remember that an extension does not give you more time to pay. You need to pay your tax due by April 15. The extension only gives you more time to prepare and file your tax return forms.

In TurboTax Online, file an extension by following these steps:

View the entries down the left side of the screen at Tax Tools.
Select Tools.
Select File an extension.

Extension for personal state income taxes here.

An extension does not give you more time to pay, it is only an extension of time to file.
