I have made the change that is being asked of me in order to file my federal return, but every time I make the change, it says that I have not fixed it when I go to file?

You may have a dollar amount entered for the Recovery Rebate Credit even though you are now marking "No, you did not receive the 3rd stimulus payment".  Try these steps to correct the entry:

1. Open your tax return in TurboTax.
2. Search for Recovery Rebate Credit using the magnifying glass near the top of the screen on the right.
3. Click the Jump to link.
4. Answer Yes that you received the payment in 2021 and Continue.
5. Clear the amount you received out if you did not receive the payment (if you did, verify the amount and Continue and you are good).
6. Click Back and answer the question reporting you did not receive the payment and confirm the $0 entry.
