Question

I have no W-2 because I did not work in 2021. Unemployed. No unemployment payments either. Can I skip the W-2 section?

Yes. And if you return is showing an empty W-2 that was transferred from prior year, delete it to avoid any error message.

Log in to your account.
Select Federal Taxes from the left menu.
Click on Income and Expenses.
Select Edit next to Job (W-2)
Select Delete (trashcan icon) on the line listing the W-2.
Select Yes on "Are you sure you want to delete this W-2?"
