You do not need Form 1095A in order to file your taxes unless you purchased your health insurance through the marketplace. You just need to answer yes to the question, "Did you all have health insurance coverage in 2018"? Please view the TurboTax FAQ below for more information.

What if you applied for heath insurance though the Healthcare.gov marketplace; however, you are receiving State Insurance (Medicaid).  Are you still not required to file the 1095-A? Also, is it true that if you do file your 1095-A you will receive the best 'refund' (rather the potential for a bit of a higher refund exists)?
