Question

I have Windows Vista and was looking for options to continue using TurboTax short of buying a new computer?

If you are planning to use TurboTax Online version to complete your return, Windows Vista is fine to use as long as your computer meet all other requirements below and supports one of the web browsers listed under Windows Vista.

You may not be able to use the TurboTax desktop version unless the administrator rights option works for you. Administrator rights are required to install and run TurboTax on Windows Vista or later. And you can see more on requirements for desktop version here Minimum System Requirements for TurboTax Windows Software

I have Windows Vista and have done my taxes online with TurboTax for the last four years. I haven't had a problem but this year Turbo is telling me I need a different version of Chrome which is not supported in Vista so I can't log in.

I am having the same problem. Have you worked out a solution?

Forget about Turbotax. Very unfriendly. I discovered a better solution. TaxSlayer. 100% better than Turbotax and Taxslayer is totally compatible with Windows Vista.
