Question

I haven’t received my 2nd stimulus payment and was told to claim it on my taxes. It isn’t reflecting the new $600 payments yet. Will this update before I file?

I received my first payment and entered that amount in stating the total I received and TurboTax thinks I received all I am owed but it does not reflect the latest $600 2nd stimulus payment. Will this update within’ the next few weeks?

The first major update is scheduled for January 7, although that could be a.m. or p.m. we don’t know when the different parts of TurboTax will be updated and ready to file, we only know that there were a lot of last-minute tax law changes and they are not all implemented yet.

in any case, the IRS will not open e-filing until at least January 27. TurboTax may open e-filing earlier, but even if it does, those returns will just go into cold storage until the IRS opens.
