I issued 1099 misc to contractors. where do i get copy a to file with the irs?

Did you e-file your 1099-MISC forms prepared using Quick Employer Forms?

 

If so, you don't need to mail anything separately.  E-filing with QEF notifies both the SSA and IRS of your filings.  See the Quick Employer Forms FAQ screenshot below.
