I just e-filed my 2022 taxes but it's not processed yet. Then I applied for a Payment Plan for a 180 days short term installment payment.Can I make a partial payment now?

I need to pay the whole amount until Sept 2023 but since the tax return is not processed yet should I wait until it is processed? But there is a deadline of Apr 18th for the first payment as far as I know.( not sure) Also, I'm not sure if IRS has accepted my Payment Plan request. So, what should I do? thanks
