Solved

I just efiled my fed/state returns, but I think I saw text somewhere that I still need to mail physical copies. How do I tell what needs to be mailed in still?

Right after filing, Turbotax created this nice PDF summary with cover letter and additional instructions, but I can't seem to get that cover letter to generate again when downloading a copy of the returns.

holdmybeerwherei,

If you've successfully e-filed, you do not want to print and mail in any tax forms except, perhaps, payment vouchers if you owe money.  The IRS does get rather upset if a second original return is filed.  (There is one possible exception which is a "superseding return" that can be submitted prior to April 18th should you find you made a mistake or missed a tax form.  Consider it a timely amended return. There is no requirement that it be printed and mailed.)
