Solved

I just filed this weekend. I said I was covered all of 2016 [re health insurance]. I just discovered I was not covered for January and February. What do I do?

What you do next depends on what happens with your original e-file.

If your e-file is rejected, you can simply go back in, and change the Health Insurance information.  You can fix the rejection error, then refile your return.

If your e-file was accepted you will need to amend your return. Look at the information below for instructions on how to amend your return.

You will have to print the amended return, sign it, then file the amended return by mail.

The great news is that you can have a gap of two months uncovered without a penalty.  For further information, please        Click Here
