Question

I keep getting an error about my CT return being a non-calendar year when that is not the case. Not being allowed to e-file. Any suggesitons?

    Yes, TurboTax does not support a Fiscal Year return for CT.  Therefore there there is no entry in the interview to change the dates so this is typically solved by clearing your cache/cookies in online products or checking/getting for updates in desktop products.  

     

    NOTE:  If using a desktop product you can, however, use the forms mode (upper right of TurboTax screen) to check the CT form CT-1040.  

     

    At the top of the form there are boxes for beginning/ending other tax years.  Be sure those are blank.  Delete/backspace several times in each box to ensure there are no hidden characters/spaces.  

     

    After that click the "Online" tab at the top left of your TurboTax screen and select "Check for updates".    

     

    If using an online product sign out of your account and clear your browser cache/cookies and then sign back in.  Here is a link with details for your browser as needed.
