Question

I live in Georgia - my understanding is that I have until May 1 to file my form 4868 extension due to Helene. However, when i tried it to do it in turbo tax i could not

    Yes, you have until May 1st to file your extension if you are in a federally declared disaster area whose tax deadline was moved until May 1.   However, you cannot e-file this.  Form 4868 must be printed and mailed at this point. You can pay directly via the IRS website which is the recommended way or you can pay by check.
