Question

I live in Texas and work out of my home as contract labor. I received a 1099-MISC from my employer, who is in Oklahoma. Do I need to file an Oklahoma State Return?

Not if you did not work in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma requires nonresidents to file a return if they have over $1,000 in Oklahoma source income.

Oklahoma source income includes salaries, wages and commissions for work performed in Oklahoma.
