Question

I look at my summary and it shows total tax payments made, but if I manually add them up, it is more than a 1,000 more. Anyone know why?

Where are your numbers coming from? Estimated payments or from your W-2 or other tax forms?

Look at line 25d on your form 1040. Is this number the same as the number you get when you add everything up? If so, then everything is OK. If not, then go back through and double check all your entries as there is likely a typo.

On the menu bar on the left that shows.

Select Tax Tools
On the drop-down select Tools
On the pop-up menu
Select View Tax Summary
On the left sidebar, select Preview my 1040
