Question

I'm a fulltime student and work parttime, I'm exempt from state taxes but Turbo Tax says I owe $76 is this a glitch?

Please explain why you are exempt from state tax.  What state?

Well, just being a student does not mean you are exempt from state taxes.

 

Every state has different limits on whether they tax your income.

 

Tel the community

1)  what state you worked in,

2) what state your parents live in, and

3)  what yoru total income is, (for a start)

 

.....and someone who has knowledge of that/those states may be able to tell you if you are under or over their minimum limits.
