We cannot see you r screen so we do not know what you are looking at.  For your federal return....look at line 35a of your Form 1040 for your refund.

PREVIEW 1040

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

Every state form is different so we cannot tell you what line to look at on your state form....we do not know what state you are in.

Are you looking at an amount that netted the difference between a refund and a tax owed?

I've already done my taxes. I completed them today. But I'm confused. I write all the numbers down as I go. So my State/Federal total says 1 number. Then my Refund total is over $500 difference. I had 3 $39 fees. 1 State fee, 1 Federal fee, and turbo tax fee. That's $117 in fees.

@chicklet-117 That sound like you used Deluxe.

You are posting from Deluxe  $39

State return $39

Refund processing to have fees deducted from federal refund by 3rd party bank $39 ($44.99 in CA) (This fee is optional and can be avoided by paying TT upfront using a credit/debit card)

How can I see my TurboTax  fees?

Yes, so that's $117 in fees. I get that. Are those fees subtracted from my Federal return?

Ok listen, my State/Federal return total is 6447. But my actual refund says 5883.

Including 117 in fees. There's still a couple hundred difference.
