Question

I'm feeling a bit desperate as I've been searching for answers for days and have come up empty handed, my taxes still say pending

I filed my taxes Feb. 22nd and on TurboTax everything says Accepted and has since the day after filing. On day 16 I believe, I checked Credit Karma and it said my estimated date of return was March 14th, it didn't show up and when I checked Credit Karma again it didn't have anything there. The IRS page shows it's still processing and it's now been almost 30 days.. I have tried calling the IRS and even my local IRS multiple times and they are not even accepting calls at this time.. I have no idea what's going on but I need my money and I'm getting extremely stressed.. why did credit karma show me a date and now it doesn't? Also, why is it still pending, I know all my info is correct.

Side note, I know my bank info is correct because I have already received my stimulus and my state taxes, also I filed with e-filing which filled in most things for me from previous years, and this has never happened in previous years.

"pending" is where you are before you get the ACCEPTED or REJECTED message.

once your return is ACCEPTED and "being processed", it's in the hands of the IRS and you have to wait for the IRS result.

if the IRS page says processing you know the IRS got it.  you are probably among millions whose refunds have been delayed.  the IRS is facing a huge backlog. at the end of February 2020, they had over 7 million returns from 2019 that hadn't been processed. then there was a huge influx of 2020 returns as soon as efiling opened.  the IRS is also dealing with the pandemic and an outdated computer system.  millions of 2020 returns were filed reporting unemployment compensation and certain tax credits that have been affected by recent tax law changes.  so now the IRS has to figure out how to handle those returns and in addition what taxpayers who have not yet filed need to do to reflect these changes.  then software providers like TurboTax have to update their apps to comply with the IRS procedures.
