I’m filing form 8379 & made a mistake. Is it okay to use white-out on the form?

If you are filing the Form 8379 on its own, then it should be okay to use white-out to make a correction. Or perhaps a better solution would be to white out the mistake and take the form to a place to get a photocopy (or a couple so you have extras). Then, the white-out will not be evident on the form that you send to the IRS.

It is also a good idea to keep a copy of the form that you submit to the IRS for your own records.
