Question

I'm getting a message that says, "Since you deferred some of your SS taxes last year, you'll get a form W-2c". I didn't defer any SS taxes, why does Turbotax think I did?

I've never seen this page when filing my taxes before. It says, "Heads up! You have a W-2c coming". I didn't defer any social security taxes in 2020, but I'm not sure how to fix it because I don't know why Turbotax thinks that I did.

Your employer may have deferred some of your social security tax without your knowledge. You would know about this if the social security tax withholding reported on your W-2 form in box 4 is less than 6.2% of the social security wages listed in box 3.
