Question

I'm getting an error when trying to finish my 1099 nec for my Doordarshan Grubb etc. It keeps saying to fill out Schedule C and I'm not sure what to put there exactly

I've tried putting all my income thinking it meant how much was considered self employment/contracting and it wouldn't take it as well as trying to leave it blank. It is like this on both my Doordash and Grubub forms. The weird thing is its asking for it when double checking but when I go back to edit my answers under income for self employment, it doesn't have a space for Schedule C and all of my spaces in all of those areas are filled in.

Your Doordash and GrubHub delivery work is self-employment and self-employment income (and expenses) are reported on Schedule C.   You need to set up one Schedule C for your delivery work.   On that one Schedule C, you will report all of your delivery income and all of the related expenses.   You can have 20 different 1099s, all from different delivery places, that you will report on your Schedule C.    So, create one Schedule C using your personal information (it is your business), instructions are below and after you enter all of your delivery income, you will be taken to the expense section where you can enter your vehicle and other business deductions to lower your taxable income.
