Rejecting my tax filings bc I have to fill out my "1095-A" form but Blue Cross Blue Shield say I only have a 1095-B and it's not required for taxes. I'm not even able to see the 1095-B form at this time! Not sure what y'all want from me.

A Form 1095-B is not entered on a tax return.

When asked in the TurboTax program if you received a Form 1095-A you should have selected NO.

If the IRS rejected your tax return for not including a Form 1095-A and you never had health insurance through one of the state Marketplace exchanges or from healthcare.gov, then the IRS has incorrect information on you.

You need to contact the IRS and speak with an agent to get your information in their database corrected.

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 3 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.

When the software asked if you have a 1095A did you say NO?  You should have said NO to that question.   You do not enter a 1095B on a tax return.  You only enter a 1095A----if you had health insurance from the marketplace.

If you need to delete the 1095A from your return

To delete it, please follow these steps:

  1. In TurboTax, open your return
  2. In the left-hand column, locate Tax Tools, click on the drop-down arrow then click on Tools
  3. On the Tools Center  page, click on Delete a form
  4. A list of forms will appear. Locate the Form 1095-A and click Delete next to it.
  5. On the next screen, click Delete Form
