You need to make sure you went in through the TurboTax Military discount page and then at checkout it automatically applies the discount when you reach the Review your order screen in the File tab. This solution didn’t work for me. The second it signs you in, it goes right back to charging $39

Make sure you indicated your Military Status in the Personal Info section correctly.

If you had a Military W-2 or 1099 for Military Pension, make sure you indicated those correctly as well.

You should not be charged for your Military returns.

However, if you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and re-open the program.

I have used this service for over 5 years without paying a penny. This year i was charged to file my taxes on an account that hasnt paid a single dollar to file for the entirety of its lifetime due to my veteran status. I will never use this absolute garbage service again. Badmouth every chance you get. Fire your software developers, this company is a joke.
