I'm not receiving my USAA discount

I filled out my whole tax return (both federal and state) and then realized there was an up to $20 discount for being a USAA member. I tried to access turbotax via the USAA link however it doesn't apply any sort of discount. Do I have to completely start over my whole tax return to receive the discount?

Normally, yes. You would need to Clear and Start over and be sure to start through the link provided by USAA. Luckily in your case, you're using our Self-Employed option which gives you access to our customer service line.

While you're in your return, click "Contact" in the upper right corner of the screen to speak to a live agent who will be able to assess your situation and help with applying discount

I did exactly as you described and the Intuit agent I spoke to was unable to provide any information or assistance regarding the elusive USAA discount. I started "for free" and my total at checkout was $180. TurboTax is appropriately named: it is a TAX on anyone using the self-employed version.
