I’m trying to sign up for stimulus. I’m separated and have been since 2017. Why is system asking me to change to married , filing jointly?

For the stimulus registration, you will need to select Single to proceed through the registration.

This is to match the Stimulus Payment, you will either be single - $1,200, married - $2,400, or Head of Household - $1,200 (+ $500 per child).
