I made more than $4700 last year, but my parents pay for more than half of my basic living costs. Can my parents claim me as a dependent?

Your parents can claim you if they pay more than half your support AND you live with them AND you were under 19 in 2023 (or under 24 and a full-time student)

We need more information. How old are you? Were you a full-time student in 2023?

If you were at least 19 at the end of 2023 and were NOT a full-time student in 2023, then no one can claim you as a dependent if you had over $4700 of earnings, even if they are supporting you.

No they can’t claim you unless you are a full time student under age 24.

If you are asking because you are over 19 and your parents meet one of the tests to claim you, but not both of them, then, no, they can’t. The rules say what they say.
