I need help switching from mail to e file

Does TurboTax think you were finished, so you need to know how to open the return back up to change the filing method?

As long as you haven't filed at all (haven't mailed or efiled), here's how to open it back up.

At the Tax Home, go to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents" and choose 2018.   Look for a small box with a link "Add a State."  Click that to open the return.  It doesn't really add one.

Then go to the Review section and be sure all is in order.   Then to the FILE section, where you can change the filing method from mailing to Efile.    Be sure you keep going all the way to the end and click on the big orange button "Transmit My Returns Now."
