I need to add additional wages (unemployment wages) that I forgot to add. I filed earlier today.

If your e-file is still pending, you won't be able to make changes until the IRS either accepts or rejects your return. 

If your return gets rejected, you can add the unemployment and refile your return. 

If your return gets accepted, you will have to amend your return. Please follow the directions on the page How do I amend my 2020 return?

Once your return is either rejected or you start an amendment on your accepted return, you can follow these steps to enter your unemployment: 

1. Open or continue your tax return in TurboTax.
2. Search for unemployment compensation and select the Jump to link.
3. On the Did you receive unemployment or paid family leave benefits in 2020? screen, answer Yes.
4. Follow the instructions to enter your unemployment.
